Surfaces.

FootprintSelecting the correct materials for an equestrian and manege riding surfaces is paramount to the safety of both horse and rider. The correct balance of firmness and cushioning is essential to avoid damage to your horse's tendons and ligaments.

We offer a complete range of surfaces from the highest quality waxed surfaces, silica sand to wood fibre and are always happy to provide advice on what type of surface would be best suited to your specific requirements.

Our rubber fibre is produced from recycled rubber which is shredded in size to about 8-25mm. The benefits of a rubber surface are:

  • Moisture retention in dry periods
  • Frost and freezing resistant in winter months
  • Keeps dust to a minimum
  • Reduces maintenance

Silica Sand is an ideal base for the riding surface or for an additional surface topping. Silica sand alone unfortunately struggles in extreme weather conditions and can freeze in winter and become very dusty in summer. To relieve this, we would recommend that our rubber fibre product is mixed with the silica sand. While cheaper sands may be commercially available this may prove to be a false economy.

Our wood fibre surface is a natural seasoned wood fibre product, environmentally friendly and manufactured to a high technical specification. It is dust free and can be used in all weather conditions. Wood fibre performs extremely well, offering:

  • Low Maintenance
  • Turnout Capabilities
  • All weather suitability
